What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in the user's browser and facilitates the use and navigation of a web page, providing various advantages in the provision of services, for example: to manage the user's session (reducing the number of times you have to include your password), or improve the services offered and adapt the contents of a web page to your preferences.

Cookies can be "session" cookies, which are deleted once the user leaves the website, or "persistent'' cookies, which remain on your computer until a certain date.

Likewise, cookies can be "own", managed by the domain to which the user accesses, or "third party", sent to the user's computer from a different domain to the one accessed.

Types, operation and purpose of cookies

  • Analytics Cookies

    They allow the core of visits or activity to be measured anonymously in order to improve your browsing experience.

    The Ministry’s website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service developed by Google, which allows browsing on websites to be measured and analysed. In your browser you will see cookies from this service. According to the previous type, these are own cookies, session cookies and analysis cookies.     Through web analytics, information is obtained on the number of users accessing the website, the number of pages viewed, the frequency and repetition of visits, their duration, the browser used, the operator providing the service, the language, the terminal used, or the city to which your IP address is assigned. Information that enables a better and more appropriate service by this portal.

Withdraw consent

The user may at any time withdraw their consent related to the cookies policy, and may delete the cookies stored on your computer through the settings and configurations of your Internet browser, indicated above.

How do I disable cookies?

You can, at any time, allow, block or delete the cookies installed on your computer by modifying the configuration parameters of the browser installed on your computer. Disabling cookies does not prevent you from browsing the website, although the use of some of its services may be limited and, therefore, your browsing experience may be less satisfactory.
