The Spanish Space Agency (AEE) is committed to an inclusive culture and undertakes to ensure the absence of discrimination in all areas of activity. The AEE is committed to gender inclusion in all its actions, effective equality between women and men, creating equitable, diverse, inclusive and safe working environments, and preventing and eradicating any direct or indirect form of discrimination.
In particular, the AEE aims to increase the visibility and leadership of female talent in the space sector. In this regard, it will promote corporate initiatives to improve human capital management, paying equal attention to technology and human resources in a culture where people feel motivated and engaged, fostering collaboration, communication and teamwork. Focusing on talent and merit criteria will lead to advances in project orientation, the promotion of teams and the professional and personal development of skilled staff, fostering a healthy work-life balance with an emphasis on diversity and equality policies to ensure effective equality for all people.
Led by the Space and Society Division, the AEE will launch an internal programme to ensure effective equality between women and men, share experiences, motivate and create synergies and good practices. Externally, the AEE will promote vocational education for girls and young women and help to reduce the gender gap in the sector.
